After the evening news, we got into the car and made our way up the hill, fleeing the lights of Kenmare town.
I was still in my slippers, my husband John in his tartan pyjama bottoms, both wrapped in our large coats grabbed from the hallway rack... 'God willing' we’d see it; we’d stay until half ten and hope to witness this ‘indomitable poem’...
