The Gone was a 2023 crime drama TV series from New Zealand and Ireland. When an Irish couple went missing in New Zealand an Irish detective – Theo Richter, played by Irish actor Richard Flood - teamed up with the New Zealand police to solve the mystery.
Mystery solved at the end of season one, Richter is about to board a plane back to Ireland but changes tack when the Irish Journalist who has been investigating an Irish drug family alongside Richer's case in New Zealand doesn’t show up for the flight. And so season two begins – the search for Aileen Ryan.
An RTÉ and TVNZ co-production, the new season of The Gone once again stars Richard Flood as Theo Richer and kicks off this weekend on RTE One. For RTÉ Arena, Sean Rocks was joined on the line by Richard from his home in Rome - listen above.
