DANCE: TIPPERARY DANCE FESTIVAL

EVENT: BABORO
This Galway-based festival is devoted exclusively to children and families, with a packed programme featuring theatre, dance, literature, music, puppetry, workshops and visual art for all ages. What's more, they've created a line-up of shows, exhibits and workshops tailored to cater for children with additional needs, including relaxed performances, touch tours and Irish Sign Language (ISL ) events for deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences, captioned events and audio-described performances. With more than 50 events including acts from Italy, Sweden, The Netherlands, Scotland, Belgium and England, highlights include the Akram Khan Company with Chotto Desh and The Maestro & The Mosquita from Theatre Lovett, a recent winner at the Dublin Fringe (Various venues, Galway, 11-20 October)

THEATRE: THE TRAGEDY OF RICHARD III
Richard, the King's youngest brother, has been dealt a cruel hand—diagnosed with a terminal illness, Motor Neurone Disease. Disabled and disillusioned, with the war that crowned his brother now over, Richard is left without a purpose. What will he do with his dying days? Seize the crown? Or burn the kingdom to the ground?
