Castel Gandolfo: Carrie Crowley & Jim Nolan on their Waterford drama

Castel Gandolfo is a new play set in the backyard of a decaying terraced house in Waterford's inner city.

The story unfolds over two days as the family of Stephen Callaghan, a dying man, see the frail threads that bind them come undone. His daughter Rose is on the brink of losing her job, his son Tony is struggling to restore a vintage car, and his granddaughter Stella is abandoning her law degree for a job in a local chipper. Adding to the chaos, Stephen’s ex-wife Dolly returns, bringing old secrets to light...

Now playing at Garter Lane Arts Centre, Castel Gandolfo stars Waterford native Carrie Crowley, known for her role in the Oscar nominated An Cailín Ciúin, and is written by Waterford playwright and director Jim Nolan - Carrie and Jim Nolan talk to RTÉ Arena above.
