I'm visiting a friend in Amsterdam. It is a damp squib of a day. My friend suggests the Van Goh museum.

I say, "here, we pronounce it Van Goff." I’m quick to side with my fellow Europeans. It’s only six months since the Brexit vote. My friend is an American. He insists it’s Van Goh.

I concede to go with Van Goh. I’m getting in free on my friend’s museum pass...
