Edited by Madeleine D'Arcy and Laura McKenna, Cork Stories is a new anthology of short stories from Doire Press, a company with form in this area, having already published Belfast Stories and two volumes of Galway Stories.
The foreword opens with the line: 'Everyone in Cork has a story' – and sure enough, there’s an impressive rollcall of writers to prove it, from Danielle McLaughlin to Kevin Barry.
Mary Morrissy and Grainne Murphy are two of the contributors, and they joined RTÉ Arena's Sean Rocks from our Cork studio to talk about the stories in the book - listen above.
Cork Stories is published by Doire Press. Listen to more from RTÉ Arena here.
