Beta Da Silva has some fresh Irish sounds for you

RTÉ 2FM DJ Beta Da Silva's Ones To Watch is a weekly list comprised of three emerging Irish acts that are sure to be a force to be reckoned with...

This week's Ones to Watch:

Celine

One of the newest voices in Irish hip-hop, she is one not to be ignored. Celine began her musical journey with her debut single Somebody Else in 2022, quickly filling a void in homegrown rap. A huge standout in her field, she graces each track she touches with double-time rhyme schemes, vocals reminiscent of the early 2000's R'n'B era as well as stories told through only her eyes and lyrics.

Her latest single Her Trapper Boyfriend features another young rising rapper and One Of Watch, Young Iz:

Fused

Fused are a young rock band based in Dublin and a recent pick for 2FM Grassroots on The New Music Show. The band is made up of Michael Keogh, Thalia Glavin, Eoin Burke & Barry Deane, who came together back in 2022 and released their first single Love Prone shortly after. It's a very loud and brash anthem which suggests they may have just begun, but already have plenty to offer.

Their latest tracks, Not Your Number One and Repent are out now.

Ellen O' Meara

Ellen is a singer-songwriter from Co. Westmeath, making music that's filled with honesty, positive messages and a welcome dose of realism. In 2023, Ellen released singles Start Again in April and Stuck in October. A snippet of a song she posted on TikTok in 2023 also became very popular, amassing over 700,000 views and 100,00 likes, which transformed into her new single, Body Issues.
