May the 4th be with you - conductor Dionysis Grammenos celebrates Star Wars

Dionysis Grammenos began his musical career as a clarinetist, performing with many major orchestras around the world.

However, in 2016, he swapped the clarinet for the conductor's Baton, after receiving a Conducting Fellowship at the Aspen Music Festival. Since then, he has conducted in many prestigious venues around the world.

Last month he stunned the classical world, when he stepped in and conducted Brahms’ 4th Symphony with the London Philharmonic in Athens – with just 30 minutes notice.

In May, he will conduct the RTÉ Concert Orchestra for their hugely popular Star Wars celebration May the Fourth be with You, at the Helix in Dublin.

For RTÉ Arena, Dionysis joined Sean on the line - listen above, and listen to more from Arena here.
