There in the kitchen of your childhood home, behind the plywood cupboard door – see the shelf of drinking glasses. All worn from use; some scratched or scuffed, clouded, mute.

There, slightly to the left, reach in. Gently, ever so gently, wrap your small fingers around the little green glass. Hold it in your hand. Perhaps, even bring it up to the light.
