While the likes of Oppenheimer and Poor Things might be front and centre at the Academy Awards next week, the highly anticipated Dune: Part Two has just been released in cinemas worldwide and is receiving rave reviews.
The film is the second adaptation of Frank Herbert’s novel, and it is the second time this sci-fi franchise has been directed by Denis Villeneuve, the highly acclaimed Canadian filmmaker who is known for his visually stunning and thought-provoking films.
Villeneuve gained international recognition for his work on films like Incendies, nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Award in 2010, and further solidified his reputation with the sci-fi hit Arrival in 2016, which earned him another Academy Award nomination, this time for Best Director.
Hillary White joined Sean Rocks in studio for RTÉ Arena to discuss the Director and his work - listen above.
