FILM: ALL OF US STRANGERS
One night in his near-empty London tower block, screenwriter Adam has a chance encounter with mysterious neighbor Harry, puncturing the rhythm of his everyday life. As a relationship develops between them, Adam finds himself drawn back to his childhood home, where his parents appear to be living just as they were on the day they died 30 years ago... Writer/director Andrew Haigh's romantic fantasy features two of Ireland's finest actors - Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal - at the height of their powers. Just bring hankies... (Cinemas nationwide)
MUSIC: BACH IS BACK!
For the first time in over a decade there will be a revival of J.S. Bach Church Cantatas with three performances in St Ann's Church on Dawson Street. As you may know during his tenure as Director of Music at St Thomas Church in Leipzig, Bach was required to compose a new work for each Sunday. Could you imagine that happening nowadays? Blanaid Murphy, one of Ireland’s most eminent interpreters of Bach is conducting the concerts (St Ann's Church, Dublin, Sunday 28th January, 4th February and 11th February 2024)
