RTÉ 2FM DJ Beta Da Silva's Ones To Watch is a weekly list comprised of three emerging Irish acts that are sure to be a force to be reckoned with in the future of Irish music.
This week's Ones to Watch:
BLIMP
Blimp is an electronic music producer who has entered the new year with an impressive CV of music curated over the last 12 months, with tracks like The Way You Get kicking off his 2023, Tell Me heating up our summer and Sleepless (with Sideluv) ending the year in style.
He's a welcome addition to the electronic space in Ireland, and there’s no doubt that his 2024 will be a year full of new music to discover; his latest single Time (All I Need) is out now.
CHERYM
A three-piece from Derry with the hopes of being your new favourite band, the members of Cherym bonded over a shared love of garage, pop-punk and rock music, going on to create huge anthems while performing their music all around the UK and Europe.
Career highlights to date include live performances at SXSW and support slots for Nova Twins and The Beths, as well as releasing multiple singles in 2023 including their infectious & and addictive pop-rock banger It’s Not Me, It’s You which closed out their year.
ALEX GOUGH
Straight out of Waterford, this hip-hop & jazz-infused artist is 2FM Rising alumni and an experienced drummer and producer who creates music with his own personal touch, offering an experimental twist on the musical genres that he grew up listening to.
After a lengthy break following his 2020 project Forever Classic, Alex has returned with a new track that packs a punch and shows his versatility and willingness to try something new with his music - check out Runnin' below.
