Well, it's last day of the year. Janus stands poised on the crest between midnight and morning, weighing the past and gazing towards the future. And, traditionally, we celebrate.
For centuries, we have gathered together to count down the minutes 'til we can sing and hug each other and shout Hap-py New Year! to everyone we meet. Family and friends, fireworks and phone calls, champagne and Auld Lang Syne: for many people, it is their favourite time of the year.
But, there’s a lot going on in the world, and in our personal lives too, and for some, the outgoing year isn’t so easy to look back on, and it may not be so easy to look ahead to the new one either...
