The Palestrina Choir will mark its 120th anniversary on Wednesday night with a special programme of Christmas carols in Dublin's National Concert Hall, presented by RTÉ’s Mary Kennedy.
The concert is an annual event but this year they will also be singing in praise of Edward Martyn, who founded the choir in 1903. Mr Martyn was also the co-founder of Abbey Theatre with WB Yeats, Lady Gregory and George Moore.

The Palestrina Choir regularly perform at high profile state and Diocesan events such as State Funerals and Áras an Uachtaráin. They have also performed in the Sistine Chapel and Papal Masses most recently celebrated by Pope Francis.
Wednesday night’s show will be conducted by Musical Director, Blánaid Murphy, and produced by Noel McDonagh, who will be accompanied by resident organist Aleksandr Nisse.
