The annual multidisciplinary discussion and performance series Ireland's Edge has announced its line-up for its flagship event in Dingle, West Kerry, this December.
As the 'ideas' complement to the annual Other Voices event in Dingle, the latest installment of Ireland's Edge gathers leading voices from political life, policy, media, tech, culture and the arts to explore Ireland’s place in an ever-evolving world.
The theme of this year's programme is 'Trust Issues', exploring the erosion of trust in the structures that uphold modern society - public institutions, parliaments, hospitals, universities, broadcasters, the technology industry and business - asking if and how it can be restored.

Speakers at the two-day event will include RTÉ's European Editor Tony Connelly, writer Mark O'Connell, former US presidential advisor Fiona Hill, journalist, author, and the newly appointed Dublin correspondent for the BBC Aoife Moore, Founder of Storyful and Kinzen Mark Little and US Ambassador to Ireland Claire D. Cronin. Emerging artist and composer Rachael Lavelle will also perform as the special musical guest.
Speaking of the event, Philip King, the creator of Other Voices and co-creator of Ireland's Edge said: "Our theme this year concerns issues around public trust. In these troubled and troubling times we urgently need to seek out new perspectives which could help us build new and durable architecture of public trust. I can think of no better place to begin this conversation than at Ireland's Edge."
Ireland's Edge: Trust Issues is at The Skellig Hotel, Dingle, Co Kerry, from 01 - 02 December 2023 - find out more here.
