RTÉ Radio 1 celebrates Joni Mitchell across the weekend schedule from November 3-7, on the occasion of her 80th birthday.
Across Radio 1's daily music programming from Rising Time, The Louise Duffy Show, The John Creedon Show and Late Date, we will be including tracks from her back catalogue as well as a special feature on The Ray D'Arcy Show.
On Saturday, Dave Fanning revisits his interview from the 1980’s. Mitchell who is known for her rare interviews, came out to the Radio Centre in Donnybrook for an exclusive with Dave Fanning. We will hear this on The Fanning Files at 7pm.
On Sunday at 7.30pm, The Wonder of Blue delves through the Radio 1 archives, and looks at the impact the album has had on several Irish artists and writers since its release in 1971.
