Beta's Ones To Watch: Jordan Adetunji, Ailsha & Boku

RTÉ 2FM DJ Beta Da Silva's Ones To Watch is a weekly list comprised of three emerging Irish acts that are sure to be a force to be reckoned with in the future of Irish music.

The list features homegrown acts from across Ireland who represent different genres and sounds that are up for discovery and enjoyment.

Meet this week's Ones to Watch:

Jordan Adetunji

Coming out of Belfast, Jordan Adetunji merges between several different musical genres with ease.

His music is filled with fragments of R&B & alt-rock. He's also a skilled lyricist, which bodes well towards his rap leanings and in a second, he's able to switch into Afrobashment and post-punk sounds.

2023 has been a strong year for Jordan, and it just got better with his newest Mixtape which landed earlier this month.

If you want to get a taste of his versatility, look no further than Rock N Rave, out now.

Ailsha

Dubbed the "Irish Princess of Misfits", Ailsha is an alt-rock and metal act - and a very capable producer in her own right.

Her music is filled with energy that packs a punch so hard that you'll feel the effects days later.

Her 2023 kicked off with singles like Sucker, Red Flags, Sleep and Enemy, each one hitting harder than the last.

Now she's setting up her 2024 very nicely with her last release of the year, Nightmare.

Boku

Boku is an emerging electronic dance music act who is sure to get your weekends amped up to the highest level. He’s collaborated with the likes of LF System, Talos & Denise Chaila, confirming his ability to adapt to different styles outside of his own.

Influenced by the UK rave scene, Boku is making a name or himself with an innovative production style that grows stronger with every release - its evident in his August track One Touch.

About You serves as his latest release - you'll be hearing a lot more from this artist.

Listen to The New Music Show with Beta Da Silva on RTÉ 2FM every Sunday from 8pm - 10pm, and Mondays - Thursdays from 7pm - 9pm - listen back here.
