The countdown to Stradbally is well and truly on, with festival goers enjoying some star studded announcements in the run up to Electric Picnic 2023.

As well as a jam-packed schedule of mainstage acts including Billie Eilish, Fred Again and The Killers, this year's festival will host a comedy arena packed to the brim with Irish and international names.

The side-stitching line-up includes (deep breath) Aisling Bea, Foil Arms and Hog, Russell Kane, Adam Rowe, Shane Todd, Neil Delamere, Diona Doherty, Gearoid Farrelly, Emma Doran, John Colleary, Tony Cantwell, Ross Browne, Joe Rooney, Colm O'Regan, Danny O'Brien, Paul Marsh, Eric Lalor, Anna Clifford, Sinead Quinlan, Edwin Sammon, Killian Sundermann, Shane Clifford, Shane Daniel Byrne, Ania Magliano, Amy Walsh, Stephen Mullan, Joe Dowlin, Emily Ashmore, Aideen McQueen, Jack Wise, Peter Flanagan, Wild Geeze, and Mark Maloney.

As always the brilliant Karl Spain will be on hand to MC the weekend's events.

Aisling Bea

Comedy fans will be thrilled to see This Way Up's Aisling Bea appearing in the arena. With a BAFTA under her arm for the hit series (which stars fellow funnywoman Sharon Horgan), the multi-talented star is set to deliver her special brand of sharp, straight-shooting stand-up to the stage.

British comedian Russell Kane will bring his heartfelt humour and frenetic pace to the EP Arena with a show that promises to be as verbose and hyperactive as ever.

Another UK act gracing the stage will be Live At The Apollo star and host of hit podcast Have A Word, Adam Rowe, whose laid back, brutally honest stand-up and gloriously unpredictable nature will leave the audience begging for more.

Coming all the way from Holywood (Co. Down), Shane Todd will make his welcome return to the festival following last year’s barnstorming set while fan-favourite Neil Delamere is also rearing to go.

Shane Todd

Making their Comedy Arena debuts and continuing Electric Picnic’s commitment to new and emerging talent are Ania Magliano, Canadian-based Irish comic Amy Walsh, Stephen Mullan, Joe Dowlin, Emily Ashmore, teacher-turned-stand-up Aideen McQueen, comedy magician Jack Wise, Comedy Store regular Peter Flanagan, outrageous cabaret duo the Wild Geeze and odd as they come Mark Maloney!

The Electric Picnic Comedy Arena opens at 1.30pm on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd September.
