THEATRE: MOTHER OF THE BEHANS

To mark the centenary of the birth of Brendan Behan, the mighty Imelda May stars in a new production of Brian Behan's book; adapted and directed for the stage by Peter Sheridan it's the story of Brendan's mother Kathleen, inspired by the songs and stories handed down through generations, offering a remarkable journey through the social history of Dublin and the Behan family history. Imelda talks to Miriam O'Callaghan below (3Olympia Theatre, Dublin, 15 - 26 August)
