The artwork of ten intellectually disabled artists has gone on display at the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI) in Dublin.

The exhibition is part of the Connecting Artists 2023 programme - a platform for disabled artists to develop their creative practices.

The programme was designed by Miriam Spollen, who is founder of Connections Arts Centre (CAC).

The CAC was established to enable disabled artists connect with each other through "a supportive and immersive environment" to explore their art.

The work of artist Jennifer Humphreys from Blackrock in Co Cork is amongst those in the exhibition.

Ms Humphrey's overcame speech and mobility challenges as a child and has been experiencing gradual hearing loss for the past six years.

She pursued higher education at St John's Central College Cork and completed various FETAC levels in art, design, craft, and fine arts.

Her work will be among 45 items that will be on display at the RCSI.
