RTÉ lyric fm's popular show Ambient Orbit broadcast a very special live edition to celebrate this year's summer solstice on Wednesday 21st June - listen above.
Kicking off at 5 a.m. the Ambient Orbit team broadcast live from the lakeside at Lough Gur, home to Ireland's oldest and largest stone circle, mixing onsite live field recordings with ambient music to welcome in the longest day of the year.
The broadcast includes live music performances from violinist Larissa O'Grady and duo Rachael Lavelle & Ryan Hargadon, providing a beautiful soundscape for your rising hours.
