Creator of Black Mirror Charlie Brooker and the executive producer of the show Jessica Rhoades joined RTÉ Arena to discuss the eagerly anticipated new series - listen above.
Charlie Brooker's Black Mirror always finds a tantalising twist on the modern world. Consistent themes of loneliness, life and death and the growing encroachment of technology imbue the work, and the show always finds new ways to explore them.
In Series 6 of the show – which drops this week on Netflix - a woman finds her fairly ordinary life dramatised on television, a couple find a jucier story when they head to picturesque Scotland to make a nature documentary, and the less we tell you about the episode Beyond the Sea the better... That one is directed by Irishman John Crowley, and features a starry cast that includes names like Salma Hayek, Josh Hartnett, Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul and Schitt's Creek star Annie Murphy.
