Never forget - RTÉ Arena on the cultural impact of Take That

When we talk about influential British bands, names like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Led Zeppelin spring to mind... But let's stop being performatively cool and state the following: when it comes to pop, it would be wrong to understate the impact of the band Take That on the shaping of modern music.

From their early 90s beginnings, through their superstardom of the mid-90s and tabloid-tastic split in 1996, the five members of Take That were the boy-band blueprint that launched so many imitators - but none had the charm or the songwriting chops to match them.
