The Works Presents: John Kelly (L) meets Linda Buckley (R)

John Kelly returns to RTÉ One this May with The Works Presents, where a quintet of our most inspired and inspirational creative people talk with John on how encounters with art transformed their lives – and in turn became their lives.

In the latest episode of the new series, John meets the composer Linda Buckley.

From County Cork, Buckley is a composer with a particular interest in merging her classical training with the worlds of post-punk, electronica and traditional music.

She has worked in many and varied contexts, including film, dance and installation.

Linda studied music at University College Cork, followed by a Masters in Music and Media Technologies, and a PhD in Composition from Trinity College, Dublin.

She was also awarded a Fullbright Scholarship to New York University.
