It felt like the celebrity equivalent of a state visit.
Oscar nominated actor, filmmaker, memoirist gourmand and unlikely internet sensation Stanley Tucci was in Dublin over the weekend for an appearance at this year's International Literature Festival Dublin - and he made the most of his time in the capital.
Stanleybatter! Knowing how much Stanley loves his grub, it's no surprise that he popped up in a number of chic eateries, including Stoneybatter's much-loved Italian go-to, Grano.
He had a dander down Grafton Street, and signed a few books. As you do.
He also managed a visit to hip hangout House on Leeson Street, to host - what else? - a cocktail party, and hang out with the RTÉ Lifestyle team. It's okay. We're happy for them. Seriously.

Then there was the main event, and the hottest ticket in town - for this year's ILFD, Stanley chatted with Marian Keyes about his acclaimed memoir Taste. By all accounts, fun was had.

For RTÉ Radio 1, he also had a few words with the incomparable Shay Byrne - listen to their velvety tones intertwine in conversation below, from 26'50:

So, all in, a triumphant Irish runaround for the man they call The Tooch. And all we can say, Linda, is that we know exactly what you mean.
