Following a sell-out Irish tour in Autumn 2022, choreographer Michael Keegan-Dolan and his company Teaċ Daṁsa bring their acclaimed dance production MÁM back to Dublin this July, for the show's biggest Irish performances to date.

MÁM will play at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre on Thursday 13th July and Friday 14th July 2023, before it travels to Venice Biennale Danza 2023.

Described by The Irish Times as a 'stirring, sensuous showcase of the emotional power of the physical form,' MÁM brings together traditional concertina player Cormac Begley, the European music collective, s t a r g a z e and twelve international dancers from Keegan-Dolan's Teaċ Daṁsa company.

Since its première at the Dublin Theatre Festival in 2019, the show has toured internationally to Sadler's Wells, London, Perth Festival, Australia, New Zealand Festival of the Arts, Teatros del Canal, Madrid, Internationale Maifestspiele, Wiesbaden, as well as a sold-out tour around Ireland.

In 2021 filmmaker Pat Collins premiered his acclaimed feature-length documentary, The Dance, following the creative process behind the making of MÁM.

MÁM follows the success of Michael Keegan-Dolan's acclaimed reimagining of the world-famous ballet Swan Lake/Loch na hEala in 2016.

His autobiographical show How To Be A Dancer In Seventy-two Thousand Easy Lessons, performed with dancer Rachel Poirier, also tours Ireland this autumn, with performances at the Sounds from a Safe Harbour festival in Cork and Dun Laoghaire's Pavilion Theatre this September.
