Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman John Fogerty brings his Bad Moon Rising Celebration Tour to the 3Arena on 23 May and the rock `n' roll warhorse has a lot to celebrate.
The man behind such enduring hits as Proud Mary, which was memorably covered by Ike and Tina Turner, the anti-war anthem Fortunate Son, covered by U2 in the early nineties, and Bad Moon Rising, recently won back the rights to his own songs following a decades-long legal battle.

Add Rocking All Over The World, famously covered by Status Quo, who played it as the opening song at Wembley Stadium for Live Aid, and anti-gun song Run Through the Jungle, and Fogerty stands as a key figure in the classic era of rock music in the sixties.
However, have he and his swamp-rocking band been overlooked when we come to discuss the pantheon of rock `n' roll greats?
Alan Corr thinks so and he joined Seán Rocks on Arena recently to reclaim Creedence as not just a hugely popular band but also an important one of the golden era.
