The Irish author Sara Baume has been shortlisted for the Swansea University Dylan Thomas Prize for her third novel Seven Steeples, published by Tramp Press.
The book follows a young couple's attempts to 'disappear from society' after they relocate to the Irish countryside.
The prize, which is worth 20 thousand pounds sterling, is awarded for the best published literary work in the English language, written by an author aged 39 or under.
Sara, who is based in Skibbereen, West Cork, is a previous winner of the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize, the Rooney Prize for Literature and the E.M. Forster Award. She also works as a visual artist.
