The RTÉ Radio 1 Album of the Week is Trustfall, the ninth studio album from Pink - an artist who has sold (count 'em!) more than 135 million records worldwide.
There's a really interesting mix of songs and styles on Trustfall; there are the pop-rock numbers you'd expect, but also folk, county and Americana.
The album also features several collaborations with artists we really enjoy here on Radio 1, including Chris Stapleton, The Lumineers and First Aid Kit.

What the critics are saying:
The Guardian: 'For all of Pink's rebellious spirit, her recent albums have followed a familiar pattern. A mixture of rustic ballads, pogoing guitar stomps and pepped-up pop anthems, usually co-written by a Swede, they’ve tended to blur into one. On Trustfall, her ninth album, she takes a few pleasing tangents – the pulsating, Robyn-like title track; the country sway of the lovely Last Call – but for the most part it’s business as usual.'
Financial Times: 'Trustfall feels less like a cohesive album than a catchy pick'n'mix designed for digital playlists. It covers many bases while never fully harnessing the fearless energy that makes Pink a genuinely thrilling entertainer. Her upcoming Summer Carnival tour concerts are unmissable, but on her new album the rebel pop queen has entered risk-averse realms.'
Rolling Stone: 'Over Trustfall's 13 tracks, Pink whirls through a wide range of musical styles—beat-forward electro on the title track, roller-rink-ready disco-funk on the Max Martin and Shellback-assisted "Never Gonna Not Dance Again," spiky pop-punk on the middle-finger-flinging "Hate Me." "Feel Something," meanwhile, is a smoldering midtempo ballad, Pink’s words spilling out in a seemingly stream-of-consciousness manner as she grapples with the idea of being loved.'
