Dublin International Film Festival (DIFF) is returning to Dublin from February 23rd to March 4th with a packed programme launched by Festival Director Gráinne Humphreys.
The festival will welcome a host of onscreen talents including Emily Watson, Paul Mescal, Jane Seymour and Aidan Gillen alongside filmmakers and creatives Jim Sheridan, Artavazd Peleshyan and Robbie Ryan, to mention but a few. This year's Volta awardee is Emily Watson.
God's Creatures is the Festival opener, making its Irish premiere at DIFF on February 23rd at the Lighthouse Cinema, with stars Paul Mescal, Emily Watson and Aisling Franciosi in attendance - and we're got a pair of tickets to give away, along with a one-night stay and breakfast at the 5-star Merrion Hotel!
God's Creatures is a powerful, evocative drama set in a windswept Irish fishing village, centring on a mother (Emily Watson) who is torn between her love for her returning emigrant son (Paul Mescal) and her own sense of right and wrong. What follows threatens to tear an entire community apart as a terrible secret is revealed. Watson, Mescal and Aisling Franciosi deliver powerful performances in this taut and emotive thriller.
The Merrion, located in the heart of Dublin city centre, is the capital's most luxurious five star hotel, and a proud member of The Leading Hotels of the World.
RTE Culture is delighted to partner with DIFF and The Merrion hotel to giveaway a pair of opening night tickets to God's Creatures, followed by a complimentary one-night stay and breakfast at the 5-star Merrion hotel.
