What inspires and drives the creative mind? John Kelly returns to RTÉ One with new episodes of The Works Presents, which explore this very question - watch now, via RTÉ Player.
In the latest edition, John talks to writer Conor McPherson.
Conor was named by The New York Times as 'the finest playwright of his generation'. He's also a director and a screenwriter, writing for both television and film. His theatre work includes The Weir (which won an Olivier Award, and is currently being revived at The Abbey Theatre), The Seafarer, the Tony-nominated Shining City, Port Authority and, more recently, a multi-award-winning collaboration with Bob Dylan, the musical Girl from the North Country.

Girl... had its world premiere at the Old Vic, transferred to the West End and arrived on Broadway in 2020. And while Conor is a writer who has worked at the very highest level for many years - and is well-used to awards, and the bright lights of the Theatre District, a call from Bob Dylan was, to say the least, unexpected.
