The film 'An Cailín Ciúin' has been named Best Film for 2022 by the Dublin Film Critics circle.
This is the first time in the body's 14-year history that the award has gone to an Irish film.
'An Cailín Ciúin', adapted from Claire Keegan's story 'Foster', has taken over €1 million at the Irish and UK box office - an unprecedented amount for an Irish-language title - and has been selected as the Irish submission for the best international feature Academy Award.
Meanwhile in the Best Irish Film category, the first two films are in the Irish language, with 'An Cailin Ciúin' at number one and 'Róise and Frank' at number two.
Formed in 2006, the Dublin Film Critics Circle, whose president is Tara Brady of The Irish Times, invites professional critics in the city to vote on their favourite films and professional contributions each year.
Colin Farrell was named Best Actor for 'Banshees of Inisherin', with Martin McDonagh's film also winning Best Screenplay.
