Says Clare Sands of Sing a Song of Old: "The imaginary triangle that connects three of the places that I have spent so much time the last few years - Carraroe, Inisheer and Doolin - inspired this song.

"I climbed one of the hills on a turbulent, yet starry night in Doolin in early 2021 looking at Inisheer's glimmering lighthouse reflections in the sea. When I was in Carraroe, I did the same… from the other side of the water.

"It got me thinking about what connects these three places, and all the people who have gone before me. If I was standing on one of the piers in these places about to board a boat further West, what would I tell my friends, families, lovers? 'Sing a song of old, love the ones you hold…’"
