Originally released on Claddagh Records in 1964, the album features the only recording of the revered Irish poet reading his most celebrated poems, alongside new takes on Kavanagh's poetry read by Bono, Hozier, Imelda May, Liam Neeson, Aidan Gillen, President Michael D. Higgins, Aisling Bea and more.

Kerry-born Jessie Buckley is having quite a year; fresh from an Oscar nomination for The Lost Daughter, a Mercury Prize nomination (with Bernard Butler) for her debut album For All Our Days That Tear The Heart and an Olivier Award for her performance onstage in Cabaret, she's in the Oscar mix for 2023 with forthcoming ensemble drama Women Talking.
