Common Knowledge, the Clare-based non-profit social enterprise, are bringing their sell-out fundraising event Homeward event series to Dublin and Galway this week.

Launched in 2021, and co-founded by builder and teacher Harrison Gardiner, Common Knowledge have been running an ongoing series of popular workshops offering people the practical skills needed to create homes that are more affordable and sustainable, including how to build, make, mend and grow.

Now, having worked with more than 400 people from a temporary site, they've found a new permanent base for Common Knowledge, The Boghill Centre in The Burren, and have launched a fundraising campaign to raise funds to acquire the location, coming close to reaching their €59,000 target with more than 300 supporters to date.

This Thursday, October 6th, Common Knowledge are hosting an event at Dublin's Fumbally Stables featuring neo-soul singer Síomha and storyteller Aindrias De Staic, followed by a conversation and meal in Galway this Sunday, October 9th, exploring the idea of what makes a house a home, as part of the Architecture at The Edge festival, with architect Sean Harrington, chef and owner of Kai, Jess Murphy, and Dan Ulrichs of Coffeewerk & Press.

Both events can be booked via the Common Knowledge website - for more details of their crowdfunding efforts, go here.
