Mezzo-soprano Aebh Kelly, the only Irish finalist at this year's Veronica Dunne International Singing Competition talks to Marty Whelan during his live programme from Florence - listen above.
A former student of Virginia Kerr, Aebh chats to Marty about being scouted as a singer while preparing for her First Communion, and how that led her to Florence where she studies full-time at the Mascarade Opera Studio for the 2021-22 season.
She also tells Marty why she avoids nightclubs and Aperol Spritz but takes inspiration from the stunning cultural setting of Florence, and growing up listening to RTÉ lyric fm (of course).
