My mother, Frances, being an expert on Shih Tzus and a judge at all-breed shows all over the world, did indeed know about dogs. "She does," I said, "but she’s not here. Can I help?"
I was thinking, I also know about dogs: I’m writing a thesis about their early medieval ancestors...
