Renowned Nederlands Dans Theater is set to return to Bord Gáis Energy Theatre this May Bank Holiday for two performances with their dynamic second company NDT 2 - watch some exclusive rehearsal footage from The Big Crying above.

The NDT made a memorable appearance at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in 2019 - now for the first time the second company of Nederlands Dans Theater NDT2 comes to Ireland with a triple bill of contemporary dance pieces by German, Dutch, and Swedish choreographers including Marco Goecke (Germany), Hans van Manen (The Netherlands), and Johan Inger (Sweden).

In his very personal and moving piece about the fragility of life and love, Goecke's The Big Crying, with songs by Tori Amos, energises the fiery power of 18 outstanding dancers to embrace a celebration of life.

Recently nominated for an Oliver Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dance, NDT2 are currently wowing audiences on a tour of the UK and Ireland, which opened at Sadler's Wells Theatre in February to rave reviews.

The Nederlands Dans Theater returns to Bord Gáis Energy Theatre on Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 May 2022 - find out more here.
