FILM: SAIL WE MUST
A new short film telling the true story of the chance meeting between late. great music legend Andrew Weatherall and Cork fisherman Gerard Sheehy, exploring how the words of wisdom Sheehy shared with Weatherall changed his path and went on to influence another generation of musicians and creatives. The film premieres at a special event in Dublin's Sugar Club on February 16th, with DJ legends Cian Ó Cíobháin, Johnny Moy, and Billy Scurry in conversation (and playing tunes) afterwards - find out more here.

MUSIC: SPIKE CELLO FESTIVAL
Dublin's alternative cello festival is back from 11th-13th February, bringing audiences and world-class musicians from home and abroad together to enjoy, celebrate and explore cello across multiple genres. This year's bash includes two nights of exclusive cello-based sound and vision experiences in Dublin's iconic Pepper Canister Church; an event with Twitter sensation Patrick Dexter from his cottage in the west of Ireland; live cello performances popping up across the city; specially commissioned improvised pieces created by four composer-cellists; events for children, and a chance to relax with a blissful hybrid of yoga and cello. EVENT: ULYSSES 2.2
All Joyced out yet? To mark the centenary of the publication of Ulysses, three of Ireland's most innovative arts organisations - ANU, Landmark Productions and MoLI (the Museum Of Literature Ireland) - have joined together for the first time, to launch a nationwide odyssey of intriguing artistic experiments. 18 cross-disciplinary artists have been commissioned to respond to the 18 episodes of the book, reframing Joyce's iconic text as a modern-day geographical and episodic artwork. Ulysses 2.2 kicks off with Episode 1, an installation at MoLI featuring cutting-edge eye-tracking technology curated by novelist Anne Enright (From 15- 27 February - find out more here).
