The label describes itself as an artist-led label and in this podcast Jack Talty talks about that idea and the ethos of Raelach Records, as well as the challenges of running an independent record label in Ireland.

The programme also profiles three of the musicians featured on the label - Saileog Ní Cheannabháin, Aidan Connolly and Geraldine Cotter - and art director Maurice Gunning joins us to reflect on the feel and look of the albums, which is a very important part of Raelach's identity.

Finally, Toner Quinn, editor of the Journal of Music talks about the role of record labels today and why they are still so important.
