Curious Gardens, a series of one-day festivals of tunes, chats and comedy in the walled gardens of Irish historic houses, comes to Emo Court, Co. Laois, on Thursday, September 9th.

From the team behind the much-loved MindField, Trailer Park and Salty Dog stages at Electric Picnic, events include comedian Joanne McNally in conversation with Séamas O'Reilly (author of Did Ye Hear Mammy Died?), Waterford Whispers News: Live with special guest Barry Murphy, the History Ireland Hedge School on The Treaty, a chat between Manchán Magan & Rossa Ó Snodaigh and more.

Musical highlights on the day will include Cathy Davey, HamsandwicH, Paddy Hanna, The Camembert Quartet, Luna Boys, Sharyn Ward, Thomas McCarthy, Trish Reilly and Kathleen Marie Keenan.

Thanks to the easing of restrictions on outdoor events this week, the festival has been able to increase the number of tickets available - pods can be booked for 2, 4 or 6 people and kids go free on a family ticket - find out more here.
