Following the success of her Netflix documentary series Pretend Its A City, legendary American satirist and author Fran Lebowitz has announced a European tour, which includes a date at Dublin's National Concert Hall on Thursday, July 7th 2022.
Famed for her merciless deadpan wit, Lebowitz gained literary stardom in the 1970s as a contributor to Andy Warhol's Interview Magazine, before publishing a pair of acclaimed essay collections, Metropolitan Life (1978) and Social Studies (1981).
In more recent decades, she has become renowned as a public speaker of note, packing out venues across the US, and making occasional acting appearances in the likes of Law & Order and Martin Scorsese's Wolf Of Wall Street.
Scorsese made an acclaimed 2010 documentary on Lebowitz, Public Speaking, before rejoining her for Pretend Its A City, an extended series of hilarious New York conversations between the duo that won universal acclaim and introduced her to a whole new generation.
Fran Lebowitz is at the National Concert Hall, Dublin, on Thursday, July 7th 2022 - tickets go on sale this Wednesday, 28th July at 10 am - more details here.
