The final of the 49th Prix de Lausanne has arrived! After five days of hard work and emotion, the jury of experts come together to decide who will win the prizes for 2021 at this prestigious international competition for young dancers - watch above.

With only around twenty candidates still in contention, only a handful will receive the much-coveted prizes and be offered places at the world's best dance schools.

Today is also a day to celebrate the art form of dance, with a special show from the ballet school of the Opéra National de Paris and with the awarding of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Wayne McGregor, as well as revealing the winner of the Young Creation Award.
