Poetry Ireland are looking for emerging poets to apply for their Introductions 2021 programme, which will offer poets in the early stages of their careers, writing in Irish or English, the opportunity to showcase their work.
The poets selected will participate in workshops and masterclasses based on craft, performance and preparing their first collection.

Alumni of the Introductions series to date include a number of poets who have gone on to publish their work to critical acclaim, among them Caoilinn Hughes, Andrew Jamison, Eleanor Hooker, Martin Dyar, Doireann Ní Ghríofa, Kerrie O'Brien, Jane Clarke, Victoria Kennefick, Erin Fornoff, Alvy Carragher, Stephen Connolly, and Stephen Sexton.

Poet Séan Hewitt will select this year's participants, with poets Jessica Traynor and Annemarie Ní Churreáin are involved in leading some of the workshops on the programme.
