In celebration of Human Rights Day on December 10th, composer Max Richter's recording project Voices will be broadcast on 36 international radio stations across Europe, the US and Australia, including RTÉ lyric fm on New Year's Day.

As part of this year's Human Rights Day programme of global events, Richter and his creative partner Yulia Mahr are collaborating with the United Nations to amplify the message of the Declaration of Human Rights.

As part of Voices, Richter and Mahr invited people from around the world to take part, crowdsourcing readings of the Declaration of Human Rights to incorporate into their work.

Richter and Mahr said: "We are thrilled to have this opportunity to present Voices once more. In these strange and challenging times, it is more important than ever to keep the music playing and the message of the Universal Declaration alive."

Along with VOICES, Richter and Mahr will also participate in a Q&A discussion with the UN to mark Human Rights Day and Decca Records will release a brand new EP featuring international language narrations of All Human Beings, the opening of VOICES, in French, German, Spanish, Dutch and English.

The concert will go out on Vespertine with Ellen Cranitch on New Year's Day on lyric fm between 10.00pm and 1.00am.
