Today's featured business is the Irish Design Shop, run by jewellers Clare Grennan and Laura Caffrey.
Irish Design Shop is a small business that prides itself on promoting the work of some of Ireland's most exciting designer-makers. Trading both online and from a brick-and-mortar shop in Dublin town, an emphasis is placed on original design and craftsmanship.
In 2018, an additional floor was added to the shop with a focus on showcasing the in-house jewellery collection Names. Central to the space, there is a functioning jeweller's workbench where customers can see work in production.
Established and emerging makers are represented across both shop floors, the common thread being a passion for the handmade, and an appreciation for Irish heritage crafts.
