Now in its fifteenth year, Culture Night returns this Friday 18th September from 4 pm till late, with over 250 free online happenings taking place for one night only, with choice cultural happenings for people of all ages.
From the comfort of your own home, audiences can get hands-on with workshops, take virtual tours, entertain the kids with family-friendly experiences or watch live performances and demonstrations.

Get Heated!
Join the climate change debate with 2FM DJ Tara Stewart and members of the Climate Ambassadors Programme, as they discuss climate change and how it interconnects with culture, heritage and the arts.
Frame your art on the walls of the National Gallery
Take part in The Live Drawing Project, a real-time digital journey bringing Ireland and France together to share in an interactive drawing session. A partnership between the National Gallery of Ireland, the Centre Culturel Irlandais in Paris and the Embassy of France in Ireland, this experience is sure to adults and kids alike.
Myths of Mayo
Hear stories from the wild landscapes Wild Nephin Ballycroy National Park Visitor Centre in Mayo. Sit back and discover mythological tales from the area, learn about historical uses for the park, and get to know the noteworthy characters that have explored these lands.
The Patrick Kavanagh Centre
This online event will be broadcasted live from the newly refurbished Patrick Kavanagh Centre in Inniskeen. With a line-up featuring some of Ireland's finest musicians and artists, including one of this year’s Culture Night Trailblazers, composer and performer Michael Gallen. The evening will be a celebration of Irish heritage, poetry and contemporary arts.

In a special online tour, the museum's curators, Dr Mary Redfern, Dr Jill Unkel and Dr Moya Carey will introduce artworks from this incredible collection inspired by all things nighttime.
Online Puppet Making Workshop with The Model in Sligo
Build and bring your own puppet to life! Join an exploration of the world of puppetry using materials you can find in your own home: newspaper, masking tape, pens, pencils and a dash of imagination. Participants will also learn foundational skills like how to make their puppet breathe, walk and talk. This bespoke workshop is led by Marc Mac Lochlainn, founder of the trailblazing children's theatre company Branar Téatar do Pháistí.
