Chris Frantz's Talking Heads memoir sets sparks flying

Former Talking Heads drummer Chris Frantz has published his memoir, Remain in Love, and he doesn't hold back about the band’s enigmatic frontman, David Byrne.

Epitomised by the shaman-like figure of Byrne, Talking Heads were transformative, a band which brought soul, gospel and dance into post-punk rock, converting a generation with stone cold classics such as Psycho KillerBurning Down the House, and This Must be the Place.

Frantz documents his experience with the band, writing about his blooming - and enduring - love affair with bassist Tina Weymouth, alongside a more turbulent relationship with Byrne in his memoir.

Roisin O'Dwyer, formerly of Hot Press magazine and currently head of communications at the NCH, reviewed the new book on Arena recently. Listen back here.

REMAIN IN LOVE: TALKING HEADS, TOM TOMCLUB, TINA by Chris Frantz is available now, published by White Rabbit
