The Wood Quay Summer Sessions return in July for a series of online lunchtime concerts broadcast from Dublin City Council's Wood Quay Venue, presenting an eclectic programme showcasing an array of cutting-edge Irish musical talent.  

Now in its fifth year, this popular outdoor series is moving online for 2020, with four online concerts streaming from 1 pm on Thursdays throughout July on the Wood Quay Summer Sessions Facebook page.

The season kicks off on Thursday, July 9th with mesmerizing new jazz from BigSpoon; future sessions include a programme of music by leading composers from Ireland performed by Cassiopeia Wind Quintet, traditional music from Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh and Mick O'Brien and fresh alt-rock tunes from Pow Pig.

The Wood Quay Summer Sessions were founded and are presented by Dublin City Council along with First Music Contact, in partnership with Improvised Music Company, Contemporary Music Centre, Ireland and Music Network, acting as a showcase for new Irish music across all musical genres - find out more here.
