The desire to communicate and, above all, to write letters is an unexpected bonus of lockdown.

Letters from Lockdown is a series of short films, each featuring a letter from one person to another, a reflection on an aspect of the situation we all find ourselves in, whether it is separation from loved ones, concerns about mental health, the breakdown of the rituals we hold so dear...

Meet Ornagh Lee above...

Ornagh Lee has always loved anything that involves tumbling, stretching and moving your body.

This led her to gymnastics as a child and now to being a gymnastics, flexibility and crossfit coach. She has also discovered sea swimming over the last few years.

Swimming came into Ornagh's life when she found herself grappling with her mental health.

The water became an outlet for her. She found her tribe and her dear friend Dee, who became her rock.

When she was at her lowest point, where she felt she was spiralling out of control, Dee was there for her.

During this time of coronavirus, Ornagh has had to make massive adjustments - her classes have moved online, she can't meet her friends or take those ever important daily dips in the sea.

At a time when many people are finding their mental health being put to the test, the lockdown has lead Ornagh to reflect on her own mental health struggles.

She penned a letter to Dee to describe how she is managing in this strange new world.
